My name is Ramakenti Ramesh. I am from Thogudem village, Pinapaka Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. I studied up to the 5th class in my native town, as education was available only till that level.

Due to financial difficulties and the loss of my father at a young age, my family struggled a lot. I worked as a shepherd to survive. Seeing my situation, a teacher from our village recognized my talent and brought me to an ashram in Hyderabad so I could continue my education.

From 6th to Intermediate, I studied in the ashram in Hyderabad. Later, I completed my Degree and Post-Graduation at the Osmania University (OU) campus.

After completing my education, I was selected for the RPF Sub-Inspector post. However, I had to leave that opportunity due to the requirement of some money at the time, which I couldn’t afford. I then worked as a junior lecturer at Narayana College.

With the income I earned, I started an ashram named Mathru Abhaya Foundation. The reason behind this was — if I, as a semi-orphan, faced so many struggles, I could only imagine the pain of fully orphaned and needy children. That thought led me to establish Mathru Abhaya Foundation. The main aim of Mathru Abhaya Foundation is to support such children and help them build a better future.
